Dad said he could write a book

He says this a lot and then I thought well maybe he can. I’ll write down what I can and then I feel guilty because Mom wanna try to book there was never the time there was never the right moment and I realize now they never is we need to squeeze these things in between the big ass boulders of life they get in the way of us doing the things that we really love Ireally wanna do.

As Dad stares down cancer in the 84th years of a life that he would call unremarkable that fire doesn’t fade within him he wants to live he wants to enjoy his life and all of it

Dad story is not unusual not to him. When he tells the story even of what they had to do to accomplish simple hygiene he always says things like it wasn’t just us the one more like us and there were others whose system wasn’t as good as theirs.

My thoughts on his childhood is very definitely shaped by the home place. He grew up and I have visited countless times since I was.

I always think of it in context of what is there now not was there he was young
